I was a hard sell at first, but absolutely digital now. I used to be a darkroom girl, but I love the endless film I get from digital and the ease of fixing color balance and creative photomontage opportunities that would be a lot more tedious if I had to develop and then scan in all of my photos. I love my old film SLR, don't get me wrong! Digital is the way for me at this point, though.

These are the photos my fiance has taken; he insists they won't sell on Etsy but I want to prove him wrong. These are all done of course with an SLR, nothing digitally touched except a border and a signature. The last one is my favourite.

They're awesome!!! That last one would DEFINATELY sell on Etsy! I love the starburst effect on the lights! He should really set up a shop. ok, I'm going to post some pics I took in Kutna Hora in the czech republic...Digital...tell me what you think! Give me a couple of minutes!

WARNING! REAL HUMAN BONES PICTURED BELOW! VIEW AT YOUR OWN DISCRESION!

Before I show my Kutna Hora pics I feel it might need a little explanation. Kutna Hora is a small village just outside of Prague in the Czech Republic. There is this ossuary there known as the "bone ossuary". In it is hundreds of thousands of bones from victims of the Black Plague that were taken and re-arranged by this guy in the 1700's that was almost completely blind. He made things like a chandelier (that has at least one of every bone in the human body incorporated into it!), a chalice, a shield, and these HUGE stacks of bones that aren't held together with anything (well, maybe a little dirt) that have ominous tunnels going through them in the shape of a cross. I think it's kinda a fabulous story! Anyway, here are some pics taken on my last trip to the Czech Republic (vintage bead buying trip) with my digital camera. I was thinking of selling a couple of them on Etsy as prints but I don't know if they would sell and I don't know which ones would sell. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Wow, those are some super creepy pictures! I shared some with the boy and he said there are some he'd definitely want for our apartment! Yeah, we're creepy and like stuff like that, haha.

And he is thinking of letting me post his photo on Etsy now, I'm too excited. I think this has renewed his love for it!

That's awesome that he's letting you post! I hope it does well...yeah, I'm a little creepy like that too. I had a couple of those blown up and they're in my living room. Wink

Are these the catacombs, or was that somewhere else? We always talked about visiting there but then he was like "there's so many dead people..." but he thought all the pictures were amazing. I loved the chalase (sp?) one!

yeah, I have no idea how to spell chalase so I just guessed...from here on out I use the term "fancy cup". No, they're not catacombs (although there are catacombs under the ostuary). It's more like a half underground/half above ground building built off the side of a church with a cemetary out front. It's kinda hard to explain because I've never seen a structure like it anywhere I've been. Catacombs are a BAD BAD BAD idea! on the same trip last year we went to the catacombs in Paris (this trip will henceforth be refered to as the "Trip of Death"). They are dark, dank, really warm and they smell REALLY funny! It's a smell that's impossible to explain other than to say it must be the smell of hundreds of years of underground rot. NO GOOD! The bone ostuary was nice and well ventelated...it smelled like tourists and dirt (not the best smell but about 3 billion times better than the catacombs).

In Summary: I saw a big 'fancy cup' on my 'Trip of Death'.
