Wire twist pendant helpI'm trying to figure out how to make one. I saw one in a magazine once and now I can't find that picture! What they had done was get a bunch of what appeared to be 24 gage wire and made it into a starburst pattern. Then they added Austrian Leaded Crystals to the ends, bent them over and twisted them back down toward the middle. They hung the whole thing from a chain and it looked almost like fireworks at 4th of July. Very pretty and sparkly.
I've tried looking it up online, but all I keep getting are caged pendants. Is there a specific name for the style of wire twisting that I'm talking about here? Does anyone have experience with this or know a website that, at the very least, shows a picture of one of these things?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

That sounds really cool! Unfortunately, I haven't seen a picture or pattern of anything like that. Have you ever tried experimenting with wire wrapping? Try a smaller gage wire so it bends a bit easier and see where your mind takes you. Add on beads occasionally, make some of the wire stick out and some pull tight - I bet you could come up with a gorgeous pendant. Good luck!

I have experimented with the twisting and that's the easy part. As it turns out, the place where I am feeling dissatisfied is where all the wires come together into a loop that would be the bail. I'm not sure how to bring all those wires together in any way that looks neat and finished.
Thanks for responding though. I'm still working on it.

wire help
I use wire a lot in my jewelry and the easiest way to make a bails to wire wrap. I have seen the pendant you are talking about, but can't remember where. It might have been in Wire Jewelry magazine. They have some great stuff, and if you can't find the exact thing, you might get some better ideas on how to 'end' it. Hope this helps.

Thank you! The wire jewelry magazine is a good idea....I have some Bead Style magazines here that just don't have it in there. I do have some credit left on my Michael's gift card....I bet they have some wire jewelry magazines there. I'm going to check that out.
Thanks for your input!

Try your own wayFrom the looks of your shop I would have to say you are a very good jewelry designer.
I have always found it easier to do something MY way verses, trying to do it the way someone else did it.
I suggest you just start bending and twisting...I bet your own talents and abilities will soon take over.
Your work is great and you are very talented.

Thank you! I have SO much more than what is up right now, but I was advised to only put out a few at a time for maximum exposure.
I'm still fairly new to the jewelry design biz, so I'm still learning techniques and figuring out my "style." Thank you so much for your encouragement.
